Create Free Coping Skills Bingo Cards for Therapy
This free coping skills bingo generator helps you create personalized, printable bingo cards for use in therapy sessions, support groups, and mental health education. Enter your own coping strategies and generate unique cards that each participant can use — making group activities more engaging, personal, and therapeutically meaningful.
How It Works
Enter between 8 and 24 coping skills — things like deep breathing, calling a friend, going for a walk, or journaling. Choose how many unique bingo cards you want to generate. Each card arranges your coping skills in a different random order on a 5×5 grid with a free center space, ready to print on standard letter-size paper.
Who Is This For?
This free therapy bingo generator is used by licensed therapists, counselors, social workers, support group facilitators, and school counselors. It's a popular activity in group therapy sessions, substance abuse treatment programs, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), day treatment programs, and peer support groups. It's also useful for teachers and parents working on emotional regulation with children and teens.
Why Use Bingo in Therapy?
Bingo transforms psychoeducation into an interactive experience. Instead of passively receiving a list of coping skills, participants actively engage with each strategy as it's called and discussed. The game format lowers pressure, encourages participation from quieter group members, and creates natural opportunities for discussion — "Has anyone tried this one? What was that like?" Using personalized skills makes the activity directly relevant to your specific group's needs.
How to Run a Coping Skills Bingo Session
Print a unique card for each participant and keep a caller list for yourself. Read each coping skill aloud, one at a time. After reading each skill, pause to discuss it — ask the group what the skill means, when they've used it, or how it could help. Participants mark each skill on their card as it's called. The first person to complete a row, column, or diagonal calls "Bingo!" You can play multiple rounds or switch to blackout bingo for a longer session.
Features
This therapy bingo tool is completely free, requires no sign-up, and works entirely in your browser. Your entries stay private — nothing is sent to a server. Generate up to 6 unique bingo cards at once, each with a different arrangement. Every card includes a caller checklist so the facilitator can track which skills have been called. Save and print as PDF on standard letter-size paper.
